The key to the success of the VIVE initiative is the creation and establishment of a Hispanic/Latino Advisory Board. Our board includes community members from Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial County who provide guidance, evaluation, cultural competency and support for our initiative to fight against tobacco related cancer in our region.

Through the board’s leadership we are educating our Hispanic/Latino community members about the risks of tobacco and secondhand smoke, and the importance of changing policies to obtain Smoke-Free MultiUnit Housing, Smoke-Free Campuses and Healthy Stores in our communities.  Together, we are championing the motto – Important Lives, Elevated Neighborhoods.
